I teach music differently. When learning a skill, consistency equals success. Lessons have to be engaging, personalized and fun. When teaching my students, I find out what music they love, their favorite songs and artists. I find out what music they would love to learn. Then I let that guide my instruction by teaching the students songs they want to learn (while teaching chords, theory and ways to improve) starting with the easier songs to keep it fun and engaging. I believe that every student learns differently in their own way because no one is born the same so I base my teaching methods off that. Every lesson plan is based off key points that the student is trying to achieve and every week pushing their limits little by little so they’re always improving gradually. What’s the student feels comfortable where they’re at I begin diving into deeper subjects and more advanced techniques. Read More

I've always been passionate about music and it is an integral part of my everyday life. Music is like breathing to me...can't live with out it. I learned to play piano and guitar at a young age and was singing as soon as I could talk. I began to compose songs at the age of eleven and found songwriting to be an amazing way to express my thoughts and ideas. Read More

I have been teaching since 1996, beginning as a teenager, teaching out of my house. From 2000-2002, I taught at Southern California's "Sounds of Music" music store, at one point having over 50 weekly students spread over 4 days. From 2002-2004 I taught at Pete's Music, also in Southern California. After taking a few years away from teaching I began giving mobile lessons in 2007, and taught all throughout Southern California. Currently I focus on giving lessons online, as well as in my own studio. Read More

Again, as stated above, my approach is based on the proven CAGED system, and stresses mastery of the basics, using the language and concepts of "classical", jazz and blues -in particular. I begin by establishing what students (already) know and don't know about music and their chosen instruments, making connections between pre-existing knowledge and concepts, and "filling in holes" -while teaching these basics. Then, as soon as students are able, we begin applying this knowledge -these concepts- to their preferred musical mediums -in addition to "branching out" to apply basic knowledge/concepts/skills to increasingly more advanced applications. I like to use a combination of methods and method books. For a beginning band student I would use Standard Of Excellence of Essential Elements. For guitar students I like to use a combination of methods, depending on the student. I like to use the Old Town School's book for their first songs or Essential Elements for guitar. I like to use a method for guitar that emphasizes reading notes instead of just tabs, and also emphasizes rest stroke and free stroke. Read More

I began teaching at the age of 19 and within one year ended up teaching over 70 drummers weekly at four different locations in which I managed 2 of them. I then went on to open my own studio in 2007 to great success. Recently, desiring more musical adventures, I've decided to relocate to Las Vegas in search of more music opportunities in The Music Business. I have taught thousands of drummers and guitar players over the year and am looking forward to teaching thousands more! Read More
