I began assisting teachers during high school for extra credit. It later became my job during Full Sail. I worked extensively with grades K-5 on reading, writing and math skills enrichment. When I graduated I started to see my joy was working with children and helping each individual get to their own "next level" and that is when I began teaching music privately. I encourage my students to enter competitions and recitals of which I help with the prep for and can conduct them there if need be.  Read More

From there I met the leaders of the Yacht Rock Revue and went on to perform w Yacht Rock Schooner (still perform with regularly) and later Electric Ave! All of which are “high-level”, professional, touring festival bands. I love playing the flute and being able to share my passion with others. I earned my BM in 2007 from Florida State University. There were so many wonderful playing opportunities here and as an undergraduate I was playing in the top orchestra. I was also a member of the world renown Marching CHIEFS where I served as section leader to 50 plus flute players. One of the more unique ensembles I played in was the Andean music ensemble, Aconcagua, where I played the zampona (panpipes) and the quena (Andean flute). Read More
