I cannot encourage going to live performances and concerts enough. It can bea concert of any type of music, so longthat itinspires my student to be more passionate about music! I also encourage my students to participate in competitions and recitals, as this opens their world and expands their knowledge about the musical world. In addition to working from the popular school method books and any band music I will assign different things for my students to work on to keep our lessons fun and engaging.
