Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to perform at renowned venues such as Salle Cortot in Paris, France and Orchestra Hall in Detroit, Michigan. My teaching emphasizes development of the most important fundamentals of woodwind technique. Using a wide variety of repertoire and exercises, I focus on developing a solid foundation for tone production/intonation, articulation, and digital dexterity. At the same time, I encourage students to explore repertoire and style, both for listening and for performing, to help them find the music they really love. I have also performed many styles of music including classical, baroque, contemporary, latin and jazz and would love to pass on my knowledge to others! My studio is in my home and works as both a lesson studio and a recording studio, so we can even record the progress of my students so that they can hear themselves and where they can improve. Learning how to play an instrument requires time, patience and discipline, that's why it's so important for the students to stay motivated, and enjoy the classes and the practices at home.
