For beginning students, I combine multiple elements to understand the various aspects of their new instruments. With a combination of videos for inspiration, singing for audiation, and moving for connection to the instrument and how our muscles respond to it. I have helped students prepare for performances in Cincinnati and Japan, scholarship auditions, and begin the flute from scratch. Due to completing my education, I had to temporarily cease private teaching and have recently begun again with the pandemic becoming more under control. I have been playing the clarinet for 33 years.    Although; clarinet is my primary instrument, I actually started my musical career on the viola and have been playing that for 34 years.   During the course of my career, I have had the unique experience of leading a bag pipe band.  I have also made a special emphasis on my studies in Latin percussion due to my background in Salsa music.
