I received my Associates of the Arts degree in 2017 and continuing to double major in Flute performance and Music Therapy. For very young students who have never read music, I would begin with flute posture on a special Suzuki flute if the student is smaller framed. I encourage my students to practice and set goals at each lesson. They would be able to work at their own pace. Playing duets with the teacher is also a fun activity, and listening to good players recordings will inspire them.
