My teaching style allows students to make music from the beginning, helping to motivate them with attractive songs, which can be used as technique building exercises. I encourage my students to practice and set goals at each lesson. They would be able to work at their own pace. Playing duets with the teacher is also a fun activity, and listening to good players recordings will inspire them. My teaching started in the final years of high-school. I started teaching trumpet to kids. Once I started college in Buenos Aires(Argentina) in a music composition degree I worked with several masters in a multitude of instruments(violin, flute, trumpet, guitar) which i was able to start teaching and performing live. At the same time I developed a craving for movement practice and martial arts. If students are very young and have not learned to read music, I work on ear training and listening to music and practicing rhythms before learning to read music. When teaching older students and adults, I feel it is helpful for me to find out what kinds of music they enjoy listening to, so that they can learn these pieces on their instrument. I started performing as tenor first when I was 12 years old with the First Baptist Church of Managua City, which they made two annual concerts on the National Theater per year that first would involve performing Classical Music choir performances and the second performance would be dedicated for Christmas, this under the direction of the Jorge Bojorge, who was the director the National Conservatory of Music UPOLI, back then.
