I had so much fun working with the elementary school kids that I decided to build a studio up of my own and ever since i have been working with a number of students ages ranging from 4-80. Teaching is the most rewarding aspect of my career as it is an important way for me to share music with others. I first started teaching private flute lessons in 2013 working primarily with K-12 students. In 2015, I taught flute sectionals and music classes for middle school students as a counselor at the University of Colorado Boulder Summer Music Academy. I also served as Event Coordinator for the University of Colorado Boulder's Teaching Peace Through Music chapter, where I helped plan and promote classes on music education and learned from instructors working with underprivileged youth. For beginners, I have a multitude of etudes, simple songs, and exercises to encourage sight-reading, finger comfortability, and basic cognitive understanding of music fundamentals such as scales. For guitar, I usually begin with fun simple songs such as "What do we do with the Drunken Sailor" and a simple blues. I have been teaching music in public schools for the last 5 years. I graduated from Keene State College in 2013 with a degree in Music Education and a focus on Instrumental Music. In 2016 I went to and graduated from the US Army School of Music as a tenor saxophone player. During my time at the school of music I also played the alto and baritone saxophones.
