For beginning students, I typically start with the Rubank Elementary Method Flute Book by A. C. Peterson. Once the student has progressed and has managed to grasp fundamentals, we can proceed to the next volumes within the same series. For adults, I typically do my best to see what they are interested, and will guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons intriguing. For the beginner who is 11 or younger, I start with John Thompson's Piano Courses to make sure the student familiar with all necessary elements of music. Then I will introduce some music that helps developing fingers appropriately and beautiful at the same time, such as Lemoine and Burgnlueller. For students who is 12-17, I start with teaching small and fun pieces, and ask their preference at the same time, then adjust my classes accordingly. Read More

Due to completing my education, I had to temporarily cease private teaching and have recently begun again with the pandemic becoming more under control. We further move on to the Intermediate and Advanced methods while also adding solo repertoire that is suitable to their skill level. Along with these method books, we will also work on music that they personally enjoy.
