While there I directed the brass ensemble and taught trumpet, French Horn, baritone, and tuba. My first full time teaching position was in Congers New York at Lakewood Elementary School. I taught group and some individual lessons on flute, clarinet, saxophone,violin, cello, trumpet , trombone, and baritone. I directed the marching band and concert band as well as the chorus and classroom general music lessons. No one teaching style fits every student and it is my job to figure out what methods speak to you. The only blanket statement I can make is that every student deserves support, and more so, they perform better when they are supported and when realistic (yet still challenging) goals are made between both the student and teacher. In 2012 I graduated from Eastman School of Music with High Honors, and in 2015 I received a Master's degree in Jazz Studies from New York University, and in 2022 I received a PhD in Music Performance from NYU. I have performed in Italy, Canada, Costa Rica, and throughout the United States, and have taught various styles and instruments to students of all ages.
