There were so many wonderful playing opportunities here and as an undergraduate I was playing in the top orchestra. As the student progresses I begin introducing them to solo repertoire, scales studies, and jazz improvisation. My approach is much different with adult students. I ask them what are their musical goals and from there I can create a curriculum based on adult students needs and wants. It begins in the lower register of the flute and it also gradually builds one foundational method upon the other to increase the students playing ability.
