This series incorporates basic music theory in each lesson which is imperative for success on the piano. I began teaching at Derby Yamaha Music School, UK, coaching classes and private lessons for voice and piano. After leaving England, I began teaching at Pladd Dot Music, Statesboro. Here, I taught many students both voice and piano. Two in particular required coaching in their respective pageant and regional championship. Working together on technique etc, the students gained the title of Miss Hummingbird, as well as qualification to Miss Georgia, and qualification to regional championship this summer (2016). We begin in my Group Vocal Clinic space learning the fundamentals of vocal technique. Every session, we review a technique and go over warm up activities the students will be tasked to practice throughout the week. Once we finish the lesson, each student is given the opportunity to sing a song of their choice and receive specific feedback.
