I have been teaching since 2007, and have worked with nearly all levels -- from the ultra beginners who have never held a flute to the advanced flutist who has gone on to place in competitions or won collegiate scholarships. I've had 6-year-old students and 60-year-old students. In addition, I also have given workshops on topics such as stage presence, vibrato, and intonation, and have conducted three different flute choirs. My approach to teaching can be different based on the age and level of the student. In general I like to keep the pressure off my students and above all find ways to make learning fun and enjoyable. My ideal lesson is one that the student will remember, whether it's a concept we talk about or a song that we learn. I try and teach my students more than how to play notes on a page and to learn songs, but how to discover and tackle projects themselves that otherwise might seem too big a challenge. Read More

I have performed all across the state of Pennsylvania, in Connecticut, New York, Delaware, and as far away as Italy.
