I am a woodwind specialist who has made a career out of performing in pit orchestras for Broadway musicals. I have performed at regional theaters in New York and Colorado and toured the United States and Canada. I love teaching, and I firmly believe that almost anyone can be taught to do almost anything! I have music degrees from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and USF in Tampa, Florida. After teaching at Hope for 6 years, I joined the Air Force to play with the world-class musicians that make up their bands. Challenging h student with new material each lesson and trying to find out what inspires the student helps to keep lessons challenging and interesting.
