As a base, music is a body-mind experience. A lot of what makes music enjoyable to us has to do with our bodies and the natural way in which we react to rhythms and pitches. My teaching style points into the proprioception on how music impacts us. We will work with different exercises which allow us to see, not in a technical way but in a 'real knowing', the how's and whys of how certain music sounds like itself. Read More

I have been playing flute for 16 years. I love sharing my knowledge to those who want to become a better musician. I received my Associates of the Arts degree in 2017 and continuing to double major in Flute performance and Music Therapy. I have had the opportunity to participate in great orchestras such as Broward Symphony Orchestra and New World School of the Arts Orchestra. I first started teaching after I went good around middle school. I was giving charity classes to a bunch of friends from school who later decided to follow up their guitar studies academically and I gave them the foundation. I started teaching because my teacher said I was already good enough and if I could help him teach the other students, so I did until he retired and me and my Duo Partner took over the school. At each lesson, I try to touch on different components of musicality. Beginning with tone and technique, posture and proper warm up. Then we work on pieces of music and incorporating theory, and playing musically. It is important as a teacher to set realistic goals for my students, acknowledge their accomplishments and to find out what inspires them. I encourage students to have a notebook at each lesson so that they can keep track of their practice focus as they continue to increase their playing ability and knowledge. Read More

My teaching style allows students to make music from the beginning, helping to motivate them with attractive songs, which can be used as technique building exercises. I encourage my students to practice and set goals at each lesson. They would be able to work at their own pace. Playing duets with the teacher is also a fun activity, and listening to good players recordings will inspire them. I also encourage my students to prepare themselves for playing recitals, enter competitions and play with bands or music ensembles. Read More

I am a highly profesional, diverse, and easy to work with musician with an abundance of real-word experience that includes public gigging and private instruction. I graduated on a full scholarship from University of Miami in 2014, the most renowned music school in South Florida and one of the most progressive universities in the country. I've been fortunate enough to perform in many different places and play different styles of music such as the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the Next Generation Jazz Festival in California.
