I began teaching during my college days instructing saxophone at ASM studios in Avalon instructing school level students. At the same time I began instructing privately teaching a few adult students. This where my teaching began! After graduating at the music department, the Dean of Music recommended me for the music tutoring position at Valencia College and I taught under that position for one full school year. My first experience teaching someone was when I was younger in my high school days, I was teaching my 7 year old nephew how to play ukulele which was an arduous task indeed. But through said trails and tribulations we managed to accomplish our goals together. Currently Im teaching guitar at the fine arts academy and I am teaching one student consistently while also substituting occasionally. One thing I have learned through teaching is that actually listening to music during practice is a big help and motivation which I like to include in sessions. Read More

I believe that if a student is told what they are doing wrong constantly, they will feel like they aren't good enough for the instrument, or they will lose interest. I have also studied piano, strings, voice for over 2 decades.
