I like to challenge my students. The trick is to push the student to the edge of the cliff without pushing them off the cliff. Every student is different and requires a different approach to learning music. I can teach students who are visual learners, auditory learners and music theory. After studying jazz performance at the University of New Orleans under the tutelage of jazz icon Ellis Marsalis, I attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston being awarded the Best Entering Student Talent scholarship in '02 and the Berklee Achievement-based Scholarship in '02, '03 and '04 graduating with honors in 2005 with a Major in Bass Performance. While studying music at Umass Lowell, I taught for two years at the local music store, University Music. There, I worked with a diverse array of students from toddlers to adults, many of whom spoke english as their secondary language.
