This usually requires setting goals that my students can reach with adequate practice, and constantly encouraging them throughout lessons. I began teaching at Humboldt State University in 2010, through an education program for children ages 6-15. During the year and a half I worked there, I discovered a genuine love for sharing the passion and enthusiasm I had for music with my students. After 2 1/2 more year of leading student ensembles, teaching children and adults individually and in groups, and giving private lessons out of my home, I have amassed enough experience to feel confident teaching any student passionate about learning.
