There are many different ways to teach. Som of my methods are as follows. 1- Freestyle. Feeling a certain rythm and figuring out how and what to play as far as that genre goes. 2- Feel. Understanding the undertone of music and how it should be felt by a listener or an audience. 3- Placement. This is the art of putting different little embelishments, in music, and in songs. I was born in 1991 and started playing drums shortly after that. Growing up in Detroit Michigan I fell in love with sound and was exposed early to many different styles of music. I began teaching over the summer of 2010. While attending Berklee, I had countless one-on-one and small group sessions with fellow drummers where we would bounce ideas off one another and give each other "mini lessons," breaking down specific grooves and licks. In October, 2014, I led an hour-long master class for other Berklee percussion students about advanced polyrhythmic concepts and applications.
