I am a composer and performer who relishes music education! I hope to be a perfect fit to your needs as a teacher and I am determined to bring the best out of you, whether a beginner, intermediate or advanced student. I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where I majored in Contemporary Writing Production (Music Production Arranging) as well as Jazz Composition. For beginner students I usually begin with listening exercises. We will listen to music and talk about what the drummer is doing, and how we can de-construct that. From there we talk about how that looks written down on paper and explore the basics of drum notation. Within this we will also talk about proper technique. For adults, or students with more experience, i will try to find out where their skills are and what they are interested in learning from me. Read More

After graduating from College, my local Music store was looking for a Drum Instructor. I had been taking lessons for almost 5 years, so I took a chance...applied and got the Gig. This began my journey in teaching Drums,Percussion, and Rhythm. I've lost track of how many Students I've helped...It's probably over a thousand. My youngest Student was 4...My oldest was 84. I have also specialized in teaching Rhythm to "non-Drummers" who are experiencing problems with their timing. Read More

As a Music Educator, I know that music makes a huge impact on people’s lives. It goes beyond learning and playing an instrument or singing. It has also to do with self-confidence, self-esteem, improving social and motor skills and bringing people together. Music is a unique form of expression and allows people to be creative and show the world what is their perspective of life. I am a very easy going guy, very patient with the students and I always become good friends with them. Read More

I have now been giving private lessons for around 8 years and enjoy it very much. I love to help people grow and watch them enjoy the gift they have. In my lessons, students learn techniques, concepts, musicianship, rudiments/fundamentals, and much more. I resigned from a job in 2015 to pursue my music career which includes teaching drums. I have a passion that I will always be greatful for, and I'm happy to say that the right doors are opening for me to teach in many different places. Read More

I've been teaching music in Los Angeles for 7 years! Upon arriving, I began studying guitar and everything else music at Musicians Institute in Hollywood California. It's here that I studied with a few jazz aficionados, perfected blues technique, studied chord theory and all inner workings of a song and it's structure, and more! Most importantly, I learned how to be a musician and artist. I began writing music, performing my songs and interacting with people all over the city. Read More

Ultimately my goal is for my students to develop a love and lifestyle that is grounded in music. With that in mind, each student determines their own progress by how much time and effort they put into what they learn. I set goals that encourage students to reach their full potential if they put forth the effort. Students should be acknowledged when they accomplish something, and they should also be told when they need to improve. Read More
