Seeing the greats like Roger Taylor of Queen, John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, or even now Matt Greiner of August Burns Red, I wanted that, but I knew I couldn't get there without practice. I have taught privately over the summer of 2014-2016 orchestral percussion and marching band. I am the current percussion director for Middletown High School. Along with that, over the summer I also teach the front ensemble for Washington High School. And am currently teaching front ensemble for Western Frederick Indoor Percussion. My teaching experience started in Baltimore, mostly backstage at local band jobs when other drummers would ask how I did certain groves and fills with speed and intensity while giving the band breathing room. Steve has spent much of his professional career as a freelance musician in New Orleans, LA, Ithaca, NY, and Washington, DC. During this time Steve worked with many of the great local jazz and RB masters including George Porter, Walter Wolfman Washington, Mem Shannon, Anders Osborne, Ryan Burage, and The Louisiana Philharmonic.
