I'm originally from Idaho, where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance. I came to Colorado five years ago to attend University of Colorado. For beginning Clarinet lessons I start with the basics and fundamentals from assembling and disassembling the instrument along with proper cleaning, Storage and proper placement of fingers for playing and basic breathing techniques. I picked up my Aunt's clarinet at 3 years of age -- and never put it back again.  27 years later, I continue to play in many different community bands and orchestras. The only thing I love more than playing music is teaching it. I have taught music in both charter schools and private lessons for the last 10 years and have a patient approach with my students. My teaching experience began in 2008, when I began teaching private lessons on various instruments, on voice, and on conducting. I later went on to teach band and choir at Cedar Bluff High School in 2011. After this, I volunteered as the band director at Valley Head High School in 2014. I have enjoyed every moment of teaching music and have taken so much from the experiences that I've had.
