I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Arizona State University in 2019 where I studied with Dr. Christopher Creviston, world-renowned soloist and soprano saxophone chair of the Capitol Quartet. Throughout my collegiate studies, I performed with a variety of groups at ASU including the Jazz Repertory Band, the Wind Ensemble, and the Virtus Quartet, in addition to performing with Breakthrough Indoor at the 2016 WGI World Championships and with the ASU Saxophone Choir at the 2020 North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference. Once my student is able to grasp basic fundamentals and a healthy proper tone and technique, I will then be able to incorporate solo repertoire for future recitals and contests. I tend to be a teacher on a stricter side as that is how my music teachers were back in Europe. I find this style to be working with my students as they do accomplish their goals and win various competitions. Depending on the age and students goals (professional musician or just playing for fun) I adjust my style accordingly. Even if the student only wants to play for their own enjoyment I still find a way to make the material challenging for them to improve their skills, technique, musicianship, and thus make it worth their while. I graduated from Temple University in 2011 with my Bachelor's degree in Music Education.  I was a saxophone major, but I have also studied piano since the age of three.  I enjoy performing in musical pits, which is where I picked up the flute and the clarinet.  I am currently a choral teacher at the high school level, but I have previously taught in a K-8 school, as well as several years in a daycare setting with very young students.
