Once these fundamentals are acquired, we move on to the basics of reading music and playing the clarinet such as learning the circle of fourths and practicing pieces of music that is from a certain major scale. Older students interested in auditioning for All-Region bands, will work on etudes to prepare for those honor band auditions. I love to watch my students grow as they take to improve on technique, tone and etc. I give students homework to practice and encourage regular practicing.
