A true mix!! Songwriting came later and currently, I have two CD's of my own with original material on both. I've been teaching all ages from 8-88 since I was 18as a private music teacher and coach, inprivate and public schools and community centers. I created workshops and shows for my student's participation. Whether it's singing, learning piano, orchestral instuments or songwriting, I am delighted to bring my students where they aspire to reach. Read More

I began teaching music lessons at Lewis Music in downtown Kissimmee, Florida in 2004. In the years that have followed I have had students from 5-90 years old and from every background imaginable. Each student is unique so I have learned to adapt to each students goals and preferences. I am happy to teach songwriting, digital music production, and music theory to my most advanced students, and it fills me with joy to hear the songs they write or perform! Read More

Instruments: Piano Saxophone Clarinet

I've been teaching students young and old for over 15 years how to improve on their instrument or in their field and achieve their goals. To me the most exciting thing about teaching one-on-one lessons is the ability to individualize each lesson to the particular students' needs, abilities and desires. People take music lessons for all kinds of reasons. Maybe you want to join the school band, write your own music, play with friends and family, or just learn something new. Read More

His music has been performed on stages worldwide, including Colombia, the USA, Japan, and Korea, by various clarinet quartets and wind orchestras. High-level artists have commissioned all the pieces for clarinet and clarinet ensembles, and their premieres have opened new artistic avenues for Juan. As a teacher, he has successfully mentored numerous students over the years, many of whom have gone on to complete university degrees in clarinet and composition. Read More

Instruments: Saxophone Clarinet

I began teaching young, beginner students roughly fifteen years ago. This progressed to teaching collegiate saxophonists while at the University of Wyoming. I understand that everyone student learns differently, and I'm comfortable teaching in whichever way is most helpful and beneficial to the student. I am most experienced in classical saxophone, though I am capable in teaching beginning jazz and swing. Whether it's basic fundamentals to virtuosic repertoire - I am able to teach and refine your skill. Read More

I like to use a wide variety of materials, from classical to jazz music.  CLARINET: For clarinet students, I use "standard" conservatory etude and scale books (such as the Rose Studies and Behrmann Studies).  I also use the Jamey Abersold Jazz Methods, which feature CD 'play-a-long' recordings of jazz music.  I also have my students perform a wide range of solo music, from 'standards' like the Mozart Clarinet Concerto to 20th century repertoire by composers like Bernstein, Copland and others.  I think it is important for students to be able to play jazz and improvise, so I teach them about Blues and how to play jazz, as well as classical music. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
