I also strongly believe in scales right off the bat and try to integrate these in an interesting way, along with some beginning solo repertoire. I started teaching in 2009 in Mississippi. I taught 6th grade band (beginner), 7th grade band, and high school. I taught in Mississippi for 5 years and just recently moved to Tennessee.
