My philosophy is that everyone is musical to some degree and that anyone can be taught to play music. Not everyone can be taught the same way, however, and it takes a highly skilled, creative, intuitive and patient teacher to do that. I customize my teaching to the student.  I use several different method books depending on the age, ability and learning style of the student. In college at SMU, I studied finance, but quickly got a double in music, studying classical music under Alfred Mouledous (world renowned pianist) and focusing my free time on jazz. By the time I was 18, I was teaching over 15 lessons a week to students ranging from 4 to 45 years old.
