I have been the principle cellist of my high school chamber orchestra, nominated for top ten in the country, for a few years. I have also spent my summers teaching at such music festivals as Luzerne Music Center, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and NYSSSA School of Orchestral Studies. My duties included teaching students aged 9-19 private lessons, coaching up to three chamber ensembles daily, conducting orchestral sectionals, and rehearsing from within the orchestra. My summer students there have been concerto competition winners, were granted opportunities to perform in the student showcase and for donor events, sat as section leaders in the orchestra, and performed in masterclass for cellists of the Philadelphia Orchestra and for the Johannes Quartet. As a multi-instrumentalists, I use a cross disciplinary approach even when a student is only learning one instrument. I do make use of method books for beginners, and the specific book depends upon the instrument, but I have my own methods and materials which I utilize in my lessons. Building a repertoire is encouraged, and I use the material to assist in instructing in theory and musical communication. Paganini's 4th Violin Concerto with cadenza which Oleg Rutkovsky composed especially for this event. After competition he was invited to participate in music festival in Rimini, Italy where he shared the stage with such famous musicians as Boris Berezovsky (1st Prize 1990 P.I.Tchaikovsky Piano Competition), Enrico Pace and Evgeny Bushkov (both winners of many international competitions). After one year with State Symphony Capella of Russia where conductor was legendary Gennady Rozhdestvensky and where Oleg performed in section 1st Violins in 1992 he accepted position of Assistant concertmaster of famous Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra and traveled around the globe performing in almost every important music hall including Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall in New York, Royal Albert and Barbican Hall in London, Beethoven Hall in Bonn (Germany), Gewandhaus, Symphony Hall and Suntory Hall in Tokyo and Osaka (Japan), Musikverein Golden Hall  in Vienna and many more. I started teaching cello lessons 10 years ago in an after school program for 3rd and 4th graders. In this program, I taught music theory and group cello lessons for classes of 4-20 students. Around this time I also started teaching private cello lessons to students who wanted to move at a faster pace than group lessons. Since then I have taught many students of all ages and and levels.
