Originally from Anaheim, CA, I've been living in New York City for the past six years while completing my Bachelor and Master's degrees at The Juilliard School. I love exploring new creative ways to use the cello, and have taken influences from all sorts of musical genres, from pop to EDM to bluegrass. I am a recent graduate from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. My main reason for relocating to the Chicago area has been to join multiple orchestras and ensembles. I have traveled all over the world performing and giving recitals including performances at Merkin Hall in New York, Millenium Park and Symphony Center in Chicago, Bela Bartok Hall in Budapest, Hungary, as well as performances in Pyongchang, South Korea, home of the 2018 Winter Olympics. My dancers range from young children, to adult and senior beginners. As a multi-instrumentalists, I use a cross disciplinary approach even when a student is only learning one instrument. I do make use of method books for beginners, and the specific book depends upon the instrument, but I have my own methods and materials which I utilize in my lessons. Building a repertoire is encouraged, and I use the material to assist in instructing in theory and musical communication.
