My teaching style is a balance of a casual and relaxed attitude, and an environment that nonetheless encourages excellence and achievement to the highest level possible. I like to establish a friendly and fun atmosphere where the student feels at ease, but always help my students set goals, and hold them to standards of excellence. In essence, my love of teaching stems from my Mom's love of teaching. She sincerely desired to teach my siblings and myself to pursue our highest dreams. It turned out that I did succeed as a star performer in music, on stages around the world. But also, when I decided to settle down, I added education to my 10-year plan. I then usually work on scales, technique and etudes, and then work on any major repertoir that may have been assigned. I then finish by setting goals for the week, and answering any further questions. I a very upbeat and engaging teacher, and I am not afraid to adress problems head on.
