My experience in teaching dates back about 5 years ago. As a foreigner who was invited to study and perform cello in Baltimore since 2010 my perspective on developing students has significantly increased and I have reached a special understanding of what kind of journey a cello student embarks on. Some are embarking on it because of natural talent, others because of an interest in the cello itself, some because they have a voice or inner message that needs to be expressed, and more! Read More

I have been playing the Cello for 19 years, and it is my greatest passion in life. I can rarely contain my excitement when it comes to Classical music, and it is my goal as a teacher to encourage this same excitement about music in my students. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I play along with my students to help them with interpretation, phrasing, articulation and dynamics. Read More
