Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I like to say my teaching style is very open to interpretation. I like to mold my teaching to the student rather than assuming the student will mold to my teaching. I believe in consistent and meaningful practice. That means that students are expected to practice at least 20 minutes a day. I always say that its better to practice 20 minutes for 5 days than 2 hours in one day. With my teaching students are also expected to come up with a goal for the end of the term and to see it through. Read More

I then usually work on scales, technique and etudes, and then work on any major repertoir that may have been assigned. I then finish by setting goals for the week, and answering any further questions. I a very upbeat and engaging teacher, and I am not afraid to adress problems head on. I find it important to both acknowledge accomplishments and use effective criticizm. I truly believe that sheet music, is one of the biggest hurdles of music education, and drives up the cost. Students with my studio, will not be required to buy any music (though they can if they want to!). Based on the fundamental teaching of Suzuki, Paul Roland, and the sensibilities of modern music, my pedagogy features composers from all eras.
