During my time there, I also self-recorded and produced my first three full length albums as well as Elizabeth Boaz's album "Forgiving the Rain." As a trumpet player, I was a member of the Seattle Chinese Orchestra for three years and the Seattle-based band Dismal Thinkings. I began teaching in high school, helping my fellow guitar players and others in band and jazz band. I continued off and on through college, and became a full time private lesson teacher not long after graduating. I taught full time for about ten years and then moved into working with music publishers and music notation projects. I returned to teaching part time in 2016, both online and in person. He has also worked for The Helen Hayes Theatre Awards in Washington DC, Blue Sky Puppet Theatre in Maryland, and Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp in Steamboat Springs Colorado.
