Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I begin with a warm-up routine, which is crucial for any professional musician, especially a brass player. It is comparable to the necessity of a professional athletes warm-up routine. Next, we cover etudes, which allow the students to combine their technical and musical capabilities and gives the student a short-term goal. The approach, overall, is to drive toward the student's goal. When someone wants to learn how to play an instrument well enough to play in a band or orchestra, I usually consider two needs - playing music and interpreting written music.
