My approach is very student centered, so I make myself available outside of lessons to clarify or answer any questions the student may come up. During my time at the university, I had the opportunity to broaden my perspective on the trombone by studying with several of the trombone faculty. I've taught private lessons to students of all ages for the last 10+ years. Additionally, I have taught at the middle school and high school levels. I've taught instrumental, vocal, and general music. I enjoy watching students progress in their studies. Most importantly, I enjoy watching students reflect upon their growth musically. I could say the best part while learning was understanding theory...that part of my learning opened up many doors for me musically.
