Worcester drum students will have the opportunity to take their drum lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers' studios. Careful attention is placed on each drum student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our Worcester drum teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the drum lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind. Each student will have the opportunity to perform in one of our recitals no matter what level the student. All aspects of music will be taught, including reading, rhythm, sound development and drum repertoire so that the student becomes a complete musician. Wherever the student's musical interests lie, Musika has a drum instructor to help the student realize his or her greatest musical ambitions!
Students taking drum lessons in Worcester will have the chance to share their new found skills and material with family and friends at one of our various recital locations. Out of all the modern day instruments, none has a longer history than the drum. The drums are known to have existed since 6000 BC from all over the world. The first drum sets were put together in the late 1800s sometime after the invention of the bass drum pedal. This invention made it possible for one person to play several percussion instruments (snare drum, bass drum, and cymbals) at one time. The set developed as it was used to accompany jazz musicians in New Orleans during the 1920s. Since that time the drums have served as the driving force behind such music as jazz, blues, R & B, rock, and modern pop music. Drum lessons will give students a chance to learn the fundamentals of rhythm. From there, the student can choose the music of their liking, and be taught in almost any style. Musika drum lessons are designed to maximize a student's ability to play steady rhythm while giving them the chance to express themselves creatively.
