I'm a fun and knowledgable voice teacher with over nine years of teaching experience. My teaching style is grounded in solid vocal techniques that I teach in a clear and concise manner. My biggest goals for teaching are to provide a student with a comfortable space to be vulnerable, allow them that space to promote learning, and create a plan for students that allows them to achieve their personal goals while growing their love and passion for music. I always like to give the opportunity to the students to work on the material that they are more interested in. If the lesson is with a beginning student I work mostly on technique and when I feel the student is ready we move on to repertoire. For all my students I let them be opened to what they wanted to learn. Genres , artist etc. I believe as an artist you should make your own choices and see for yourself what kind of singer you want to be. That starts with the choice of song you choice then we can work our way up to learning it and perfecting it. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! It is important that each student progresses at their own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson, acknowledging accomplishments, fueling a students desire to progress, and finding ways to stimulate a students desire to learn more.
