I start every lesson with 30 minutes of vocal warm-ups and encourage you to warm-up on your own between lessons. Your voice is a muscle and it needs to be taken care of. For younger students, I tend to focus on the production of breath and basic sounds as they begin to grow into their body. This is to ensure that the baseline technique is there as they find how their instrument, the voice, is growing into their developing selves. For adult students of any technique, I prefer to start with basic vocal exercises to test the agility and flexibility of the voice so that I have an understanding of how their matured voice functions. I teach both classical reading and modern music theory to ensure a well rounded approach. I use the book series by Faber to cover classical reading. I believe Faber books do an excellent job at covering all areas of music. I make sure to keep tabs on my students' practicing as I believe in consistency. The student will be given work that is reasonable to practice once a day for at least 10-20 minutes a day. Read More

My teaching experience started in my junior year of college in Quito- Ecuador. During the summer of 2015, I did a seminar on YogaVoice to singers of different levels at "Fundacion Armonia." I was able to worked with several students and help them fix some technical problems related to their singing. Since that day, I started my private studio. I give price voice lessons in my studio. I have been taking voice lessons myself since the age of 15 and have been teaching since 17 when I was involved in a unique experience being mentored by my middle and high school choir directors as I knew I would be going on in Music Education as a college student. After graduating from my Bachelors program I began teaching both private voice and elementary-high school vocal and general music. Working for a local drum teacher in 2005, I started teaching private music lessons in students' homes. From there, I took up residence at a local music store where I taught guitar, ukulele, bass, harmonica, songwriting, and music theory for the next fifteen years. During the pandemic, I added teaching virtually to my repertoire and have fallen in love with it. Personally, I started playing music because I loved exploring and learning more about the music I I was already listening to--and I desperately wanted to learn how I could create my own sounds. My public performances began in nursing homes, local festivals and recitals. I also began studying with the famous composer, arranger, Russell Faith at Newtown School of Music. I took his advice to work under the Jarred Talent agency of N.Y. as did a fellow student, Andrea McArdle, who played the lead role in the Broadway musical Annie. I auditioned for TV commercial, musicals, beauty pageants and attended performance workshops in New York. Read More
