Perfection is not important to me. What is important is that my students strive and become the best that they can be. I want to instill in them the desire to reach their goals. That being said, I believe every student will work at their own pace. We will work together on goals that are realistic during the time frame. I believe teaching in music in an art that requires as much dedication and preparation as performing. When I teach, I dont force a certain technique or method on students, but rather I teach what is best suited for them. On top of that, I always motivate my students with adequate goals. Most importantly, I will make sure my students enjoy music in the process of learning. I love giving my students the option to expess themselves and approach them with the methods they enjoy and desire. Rewards/Certificates are given upon the completion of each level with weekly progress tracking. I am flexible to work with students' schedule. Though I have a 24 hours cancellation policy, make up lesson usually can be arranged when notice is given in advance. To ensure the best environment and utilize the resources I have available, I do prefer students to come to my neighborhood locations (77077 or 77043) for private lessons or group classes. Read More

I like to get an idea from the student and the parent what their expectations are for music lessons. From there, the student and I come up with musical goals to accomplish for that year. We create a practice schedule based on the student's school and extracurricular activities and try to follow that schedule as much as possible. I also like to incorporate other styles of music such as popular Broadway pieces and Contemporary pieces into the student's repertoire so that they can have greater diversity in their piano playing or singing.
