I am a very passionate musician, with a love for passing on the gift of music. I graduated from Shepherd University in 2012 with a BA in Voice Performance. I then went on to complete an MM and GPD in Opera from The Longy School of Music of Bard College. During my degree programs, I was able to study and sing around the world with many leading performers and teachers. I have been teaching for over ten years, and it brings me so much joy to be able to help my students find their musical voice. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my students develop a passion for music, and seeing their confidence grow as they progress. Therefore, it is important that each student learns at his or her own pace. There is no need to over-exhaust them with tasks but I do encourage individual growth and development by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. I solely trained in Europe and took classes from vocalists like, Katarina Lange-Frohberg, Sigfried Lorenz and Christiane Bergold.I have moved to the United States in 1996 and have been working in the education and performance field of musical theater. So I could safely say that my strong is singing songs and accompanying myself and others at the piano or the guitar. Nonetheless all along I was studying classical music with the greatest rigor possible. With the beginning students I use Alfred and Bastien piano instructional books. Also, the children simultaneously learn to read notes and understand music notation. In my teaching method the goal is to combine high level of technique with musicality and individual interpretation. The beginners’ lessons are systematized as a successful blend of fun musical games and new academic material, thus learning new is fun and inspiring. My teaching experience started after college I began teaching with public schools in 2006 and teaching independently in 2009 all ages. I love all genres of music and I motivate and encourage my students to explore music in that way. I love to have fun with teaching and competition so I encourage students who are interested in a performing career to perform live in talents shows , community events, family parties and gatherings so that they are able to have the experience amongst there peers and family.
