I am a trained Music Therapist, graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy, major instrument Piano with secondary instrument Voice. I enjoy working with young children and also those with special needs especially infants to provide sensory stimulation through music therapy. I use Music in therapy to facilitate language, social, movemen/motor and pre-academic skills. After various performing opportunities in high school, I started my journey to become a music educator at the University of Miami in 2007. My participation in choral and theatre ensembles has taken me around the world practicing my passion and mastering my craft. I currently produce classical music concerts in addition to teaching private lessons. Throughout my singing career, I have had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall and Geffen Hall in New York, the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts in Philadelphia, the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, and various locations throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Ecuador, and Spain. I encourage students who only play piano to try accompanying other musicians or themselves in order to strengthen their skills, and I encourage singers to perform with a local choir, try out for school musicals, and generally volunteer their musical abilities in their community. I graduated with my Bacholers in Music and Pyschology with a focus on opera voice in 2009. In my performance program I really grew as a vocalist and learned how to overcome my own obstacles and improve my vocal technique for myself. I feel confident now in sharing my experience and my education with my students so they are able to really grow and improve as well. Beyond my extensive experience as a professional in the Music Industry, I have held positions in a diverse range of teaching situations beyond private instruction. I was most recently employed as a Lead Music Teacher for Success Academy Charter Schools and worked full-time at an Elementary School in the South Bronx.
