I began teaching voice lessons in 1995 while living in Los Angeles, CA. I worked with many production and management companies developing unsigned and signed artists. I started teaching one-on-one so the students could get the results for strengthening their voice. As I always say "Singing is Breathing" so the first exercise I teach is proper diaphragmatic breathing to increase vocal range. A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, I began playing piano at the age of 5. Throughout my childhood I took private lessons in piano and voice. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC and a Master of Music degree from USC, where I studied under pianists Marina Lomazov and Joseph Rackers. My work with students of all ages spans far beyond teaching, having worked for two summers as a staff collaborative pianist at Interlochen Center for the Arts in northern Michigan and playing for numerous children's masses and concerts. TashaRenee was 3 years old singing her first solo, “God Is”, at church and she hasn’t shut up since.
