I attended seminars in Jazz Guitar with legendary guitarists Joe DiOrio, Tal Farlow and Jack Wilkins. For beginners, on piano I def reccomend Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Also, "My Favorite Solo Album," by Max Eckstein. Once progression and consistency has been developed I always encourage my students to share what they have learned in to a recital performance.
