With piano students I enjoy using John Thompson and Alfred methods for beginners and I choose different songs as students get more experience. I began teaching at the Erie Playhouse Summer Youtheatre Camp on my summers home from college. The students were ages 5-16 and we taught them basic music theory, as well as numerous musical theater and jazz standards throughout the week. We focused on proper vocal technique and placement as well as theory. In New York City, I taught babies and toddlers for a company called MoonSoup. For my piano students, I use different method and technique books in order to help my students learn the basics.  This includes how to properly read their sheet music so that they can pratice their skills by themselves.  I also use repetition and demonstrate different pratice skills so that my students can further advance their piano skills.
