I am a passionate performer and teacher who enjoys working with students of all ages and sharing my experiences with them. In 1997, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and have been performing and teaching professionally ever since. Custom exercises and choice of material is based on the student's level and field of study. Lessons are scheduled at the student's convenience as per availability. My teaching technique is based in the idea that all healthy sound is generated from a coordinated and healthy instrument, and my lessons are based around that concept. For beginning students, I prefer to use the Alfred's Basic Piano Course books. Once the student gets down the fundamentals and becomes more technically proficient, I introduce solo repertoire and get them started with some fun and musical etudes to improve finger dexterity. I also like to make the lessons fun and entertaining for the kids by playing some music games or giving rewards. For adult students, I try to find appropriate beginner piano books. Read More
