Mistakes are how every singer improves! With older students, I want to help students learn to recognize their own mistakes and areas they can improve on. I will always be ready to help them on trouble areas or encourage them when they get it right, but I want them to learn how to recognize it on their own so they can develop outside of a lesson! Thus, in order to improve my teaching skills, I took voice pedagogy in graduate school, understanding how influential a voice teacher could be. And being cautious about my students vocal health then gradually becomes my belief of teaching.
