I'm fairly new to teaching. I had the opportunity to co-lead the soprano section in my university choir for a year, which gave me my first taste of what teaching other people was like. I loved it, because it allowed me to step into something bigger than myself: helping other people learn how to sing together well! After graduating from William Jessup University I began to intern at my church, where I started teaching group lessons. Read More

I have a 20+ years experience in teaching piano, and a classroom Music teacher as well. Music Theory is my forte and started to develop reading skills and teaching with the aid of technology. I love teaching the trombone! I think more kids should check it out, and adults should continue playing throughout their lives even if it isn't a profession. I am a graduate from the Lamont School of Music in DU, and received my bachelor's at Cal State Northridge, both degrees in performance. I've played in venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in DC. I am classically trained but also love to play jazz music. Read More

Before I start working with any client, I find out exactly why they've sought out vocal lessons and what their goals are. Then It all starts with breathing. The student will learn how to properly excersize the correct muscles when singing, and then will vocalize with the piano. We must start with pitch! Then there will be songs to learn that both the student suggest and I pick, based on what I think will help their development most. Read More

No matter the skill level, I like to keep my curriculum concise, applicable, and easy for all students to understand. I begin with a crash course in music fundamentals to give students a classical understanding of their playing, reading, and writing techniques. Next, I teach them scales, chords, and playing techniques that correlate with their level of playing and music comprehension. Once they have mastered said curriculum I teach them songs that they are genuinely interested in. Read More

I am a passionate and motivated musician and music teacher and I absolutely adore sharing my love of music with my students! I graduated from Point Park University with my BA in Musical Theatre in 2017, and joined the national tour of "Peter & Wendy" with Missoula Children's Theatre for a few months before returning to my hometown in California to teach. I recently made the leap to New York City and have the opportunity to teach here, a job that I am so privileged to have! Read More
