For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. My methods include playing by ear, learning the foundation and solfeggi. Read More

I have been teaching for two years, and I truly enjoy it.  I was fortunate enough to coach middle school violinists last summer, and I was able to help them individually, as well as help them perform together.  Teaching, for me, is a way of shaping the next generation of musicians or music enthusiasts.  I can teach students of any ability level, and it is always a joy to work with and get to know a new student.
