I started teaching voice lessons in early 2016 to young students from 6 to 15 years old. I then worked at the Willow Glen Music School from 2019-2020 to teach voice and piano to students from 4 to 70 years old. Since 2020, I've been teaching online vocal lessons to singers from 14 to 50 years old. I am a passionate and dedicated teacher who strives to provide a well structured and personalized lessons to my students. I am a graduate of Whittier College, Class of 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with an emphasis in Music Performance. My main instrument is Cello and my secondary instrument is Piano. For beginning students, I use the Piano Adventure Series by Nancy Faber and Randall Faber. I also use the A Thousand Stories for a Little Pianist by Katrin Arefy. My special methods in teaching young students include stories, easy duets, and singing familiar folk songs. For intermediate level students, I use different method books according to the student's interests. However, I encourage them to play Classical music, which is very useful in developing good techniques in piano playing. Read More

I was born with an "educator" mindset, and began teaching early on in my personal music studies. I began teaching about 10 years ago, in 2010, after getting into my undergraduate studies for music performance. I have taught all levels and in many different settings: To-date I have taught ages 6 through 65. I have taught in formal school system classrooms, private music studios, community centers and at a student's home. For Piano: I usually start with the Alfred's Basic books and work my students through those lessons until they reach a point where I can begin to use other repertoire books with them to give them supplemental work. I always use scales as warm ups for the hands, even if they are very basic for new students.
