I use the McClosky Technique for vocal relxation when teaching voice. This is a hands on method stressing easy singing and designed not to damage voices. On guitar I stress music theory and basic technique to allow the student to develop his or her own style. I have worked with students with IEPs in school, retired individuals who just want to enjoy making music, and very young beginners.
